One of the most important documents for student success in class is the syllabus. With the syllabus, students can learn the objectives and student outcomes. In this case, an e-portfolio is required for the class. In addition to the syllabus and the e-portfolio, students should use an academic calendar. At Montgomery College, advisers and counselors are more than happy to provide students with calendars to help them succeed with their homework. For example, the deadlines are critical because the homework must be submitted on time. Both the syllabus and the class schedule are the most important pieces of information to succeed in ENGL 101.
